	Kindermusik Imagine That! is a class for your preschooler, taking you and your child on a musical journey of discovery and exploration - a journey limited only by the power of imagination! Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality. Imagine That! encourages socialization, sharing, and participation in group activities. All family members and caregivers attend the special Family Sharing Time during the last 10 minutes of class. 	Unit for Spring 2011: Cities! Busy Places ~ Friendly Faces

		"I’m a feather, see me twist and float!" "I’m in a red boat; look at the whale!" Today he’s a cowboy or artist. Tomorrow she’s a doctor or musician. And in this unit of Imagine That, your child will build a whole city! The child in Imagine That is moving on to expressive, creative exploration. Music, movement, storytelling, and pretend play are carefully balanced in a class where every day is a new discovery waiting to happen. As the children reflect, compare, choose, express, sing, and move, they are learning musical terms and concepts and the joy of musical creation. Kindermusik’s rich, developmentally appropriate lessons support and nurture your little one as the adventure of childhood begins. Come join us, and excite your child’s mind and imagination!


	At Home Materials:

		2 CD’s packed with songs from class, plus recorded readings of the literature books, music for dancing, and interactive listening and activity tracks. 2 beautiful literature books written just for Kindermusik and designed to highlight a particular facet of your child’s development. A specially designed instrument ideal for music making at home that relates directly to content and concepts addressed in class. A Family Activity Book containing 40 pages of activities for doing together at home, plus song lyrics and information about your child’s development you won’t find anywhere else. A play set that is sure to stimulate many hours of creative play at home while expanding upon class themes, songs and activities. A backpack to carry it all in!

Cities! Busy Places ~ Friendly Faces -- In this unit, sidewalks, elevators, skyscrapers, and world-traveling photographers are the theme. Learning through the pretend play that preschoolers adore, we'll be rhythmically busy playing storytelling games and handcrafting city "buildings" from wax paper at home so we can make a cityscape in class! Plus every activity has some at-home adaptations so the parent can take part in the learning. With a pair of resonator bars as a featured instrument, and a multicultural, jazzy collection of music, preschoolers will develop the social and intellectual skills they'll need in school.

Home Materials: Two books - Razupazu Toto and Down Our Street, Cities! Game Board Set, Two Home CDs (a collection of multicultural and jazzy music heard in class), Family Activity Book, and a pair of resonator bars as the featured instrument.
