	Kindermusik Our Time is a class where children, along with a parent or caregiver, enjoy singing, moving, listening, interacting socially, and playing instruments. We’ll introduce basic musical concepts such as steady beat, melodic patterning and tempo variation through dancing, bouncing, and playing with shakers, drums, puppets, balls, parachute, streamers and more! Our Time encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building self-control, coordination and communication skills. 	Unit for Fall 2010: Milk and Cookies

		Everyday activities like cooking, cleaning and shopping provide countless opportunities that allow your child to have the independence he craves while having you near for the reassurance, comfort and help he still needs. We’ll capture and pair these activities with music in a way that assists you in helping your child to develop physically, emotionally, cognitive and socially. Come along dance around the house while dusting, walk to the grocery store and listen to the sounds our feet make, shake our eggs, and pop delicious popcorn with balls and a parachute.

	At Home Materials:

		2 CD’s featuring the same delightful music from class, with each song arranged to a toddler’s musical taste - strong on rhythm and high in emotional contrasts. 2 books that we read in class, destined to become favorites while helping develop valuable story-telling and pre-reading skills. 2 instruments to give your pots and pans a rest, and lets your little one practice the sense of rhythm just waiting to leap out of her. A Home Activity Guide that includes all the songs and lyrics, and combines child development information with simple, less than five-step instructions for extending the learning from his favorite activities in class to home. A specially themed container to store it all in.

Milk & Cookies -- Make everyday home activities and chores easier and more fun with music! Cook and sing to “The Muffin Man”; dust and clean to the original song “In My House”; get ready to wash clothes to the delightful poem “Washing Machine.” Baking cookies, eating cupcakes, blowing on hot cross buns, wiggling like jelly, going grocery shopping and making tea are all represented in familiar as well as new songs. Move, play, and sing together in developmentally appropriate activities created just for 1½ to 3-year-olds. Capture the familiar and new moments of the day and learn how music can impact your toddler.

Home Materials: Double CD featuring songs from class; two books - At My House and Cookies - two Home CDs, stir xylophone instrument, and a Home Activity Book, all arriving in a durable lunch bag.
