	Kindermusik Our Time is a class where children, along with a parent or caregiver, enjoy singing, moving, listening, interacting socially, and playing instruments. We’ll introduce basic musical concepts such as steady beat, melodic patterning and tempo variation through dancing, bouncing, and playing with shakers, drums, puppets, balls, parachute, streamers and more! Our Time encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building self-control, coordination and communication skills. Unit for Winter/Spring 2012: Away We Go!

In Away We Go!, we focus on things that go.Toddlers love to GO. Going is their gift, their license to venture out into the world and their means of retreating to the security of Dad or Mom. With toddlers’ desire to go comes an attraction to other things that go -- people, animals, pull toys, tricycles, cars, planes, and the list goes on. Many wonderful discoveries lay ahead!

Kindermusik Our Time encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communication skills. Just as a young kangaroo bounds away and then back to the security of its mother’s pouch, Our Time classes are designed to encourage young children to try new activities independently while at the same time they can be confident that the security of their special adult’s lap is still nearby.

Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming and object exploration help foster language skills. Creative to various musical “moods” develops a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness. And listening and turn-taking activities encourage blossoming social skills.

	At Home Materials:

		2 CD’s featuring the same delightful music from class, with each song arranged to a toddler’s musical taste - strong on rhythm and high in emotional contrasts. 2 books that we read in class, destined to become favorites while helping develop valuable story-telling and pre-reading skills. 2 instruments to give your pots and pans a rest, and lets your little one practice the sense of rhythm just waiting to leap out of her. A Home Activity Guide that includes all the songs and lyrics, and combines child development information with simple, less than five-step instructions for extending the learning from his favorite activities in class to home. A specially themed container to store it all in.

Away We Go! -- Hop on the train, get in the car, board the plane, and Away We Go! This class focuses on transportation, a favorite topic for toddlers who are on the go, go, go! Sing and play along with favorite songs, such as “We’ve Been Workin’ on the Railroad” and “Wheels on the Bus.” Explore fast and slow, smooth and bumpy, and high and low. Read stories about ways to get around. Shiny Dinah tells the story of a train, and Giddy-Up! has a horse, speedboat, racecar, and more to help you get where you want to go.

Home Materials: Double CD featuring songs from class; two interactive story books - Shiny Dinah and Giddy-Up! - to develop early literacy skills; Home Activity Book, and two harmonicas designed for toddlers.
